Project Scott Safety
Scott Safety, a manufacturer of personal protective equipment and safety devices worldwide, needed its headquarters facility in Monroe, N.C., modified to accommodate two advanced testing chambers: an LRPL chamber, used to test seals on the face masks Scott Safety makes, and an anechoic chamber, used for testing noise levels of Scott Safety’s products. A long-time parent company A M King client, Scott Safety called on A M King to understand these state-of-the-art technologies, and what would be required of its facility to install them. For instance, the anechoic chamber required construction of a pit that necessitated the removal of the existing slab and a new slab to be poured in the middle of Scott Safety’s existing facility. In just seven months, A M King completed design work, obtained necessary permits, completed facility construction and worked with the chamber technology providers to deliver the completed facility to Scott Safety.
